The Industrial Swing Gate is the automated evolution of the traditional hinged gate. While sliding gates are often the default for logistics, Swing Gates remain the preferred choice for sites requiring architectural elegance, quiet operation, or tight side-clearances where a sliding gate cannot retract.

Unlike lightweight residential versions, Industrial Swing Gates are engineered to move heavy steel leaves (often exceeding 500kg per leaf) using powerful hydraulic or electromechanical actuators. They are designed to withstand high wind loads, continuous duty cycles, and the physical stresses of pivoting heavy steel loads 24/7.

Key Engineering Features

No Side Clearance Required

Unlike sliding gates, which require a long fence line to retract into (run-back space), swing gates do not need any space at the side of the entrance. Details: This makes them the only solution for entrances flanked by buildings, walls, or trees immediately to the left and right.

Quiet & Frictionless Operation

Advantage: The gate floats on heavy-duty bearing hinges. There are no steel wheels rolling on a concrete track or gear racks grinding together. Details: This results in near-silent operation, making it ideal for corporate headquarters, residential complexes, or hospitals where noise pollution is a concern.

Simple Civil Work / No Ground Track

Advantage: Installation requires only two foundation pits for the posts. There is no need to dig up the entire driveway to lay a concrete ground beam or track. Details: This reduces installation time and cost. It also means the driveway remains completely clear of obstacles (tracks/rails) that could trip pedestrians or jar forklifts.

System Parts

Hanging Post / Hinge Post

Description: Heavy-duty steel columns (e.g., $200 \times 200\text{mm}$ or larger) anchored deeply into concrete. Function: Supports the entire weight of the swinging leaf.

Gate Leaf

Frame : Welded SHS/RHS steel tube structure. Diagonal Brace: A diagonal bar from the bottom hinge to the top corner. Crucial to prevent the gate from sagging over time. Infill: Vertical bars (pickets), 358 mesh, or palisade.

Bearing Hinges

Description: Unlike residential strap hinges, these are machined steel blocks containing Tapered Roller Bearings. Function: Allows heavy gates ($500\text{kg}+$) to swing smoothly with minimal friction.

Physical Stops

Center Stop: A metal plate on the ground where the two leaves meet when closed. Back Stop: A post or rubber buffer stopping the gate at the fully open position.

Hydraulic Ram

The industrial standard. Uses an electric pump and piston. High power, high duty cycle.

Electromechanical Linear Screw

Uses a threaded shaft. Good for medium-weight gates.

Control Box

Usually a separate IP65 enclosure mounted on the post or wall, containing the circuit board and hydraulic logic.

Maglock

You need a clear area equal to the Swing Arc (the radius of the gate leaf). Example: If you have a 5-meter wide leaf, you need a 5mx 5m clear zone behind it. Constraint: You cannot park cars or stack cargo in this "dead zone." The ground in this arc must also be perfectly level.
