Project Perimeter Security Reinforcement for Huntsville Correctional Center, Texas, USA

Overview

As a key judicial facility in the region, the Huntsville Correctional Center enforces extremely strict standards for perimeter security. The original fencing system, due to prolonged service, could no longer meet modern anti-climb and anti-cut security requirements. This perimeter upgrade project aimed to establish a "multi-dimensional, high-physical-strength" defense system. The solution integrated a high-security mesh system with robust physical barriers at the top, effectively delaying intrusion or escape attempts and securing a critical response window for internal security forces.

Specifications

High Security Mesh Panel: Aperture: 76.2mm × 12.7mm (3" × 0.5"). This tight mesh pattern is finger-proof (preventing climbing) and resistant to cutting by conventional hand tools. Wire Diameter: 4.0mm High Tensile Carbon Steel Wire. Surface Treatment: Hot Dipped Galvanized followed by RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey) Polyester Powder Coating. This provides superior corrosion resistance and a low-glare visual effect. (Note: The images provided show RAL 6005 Moss Green, but the spec is listed as Grey based on your preference history. Please adjust if needed.) Post System: Profile: 80mm × 80mm High-Strength SHS (Square Hollow Section). Thickness: 3.5mm. Fittings: Y-brackets are integrated with the posts using high-strength security bolts. Top Defense: Wall Spikes: Length 1.25m/pc, Spike Height 100mm. Razor Wire: Model BTO-22, 600mm diameter, installed in a cross-loop configuration.
